Where the land is low is where the water flows to. These are fun, but I think this one strayed from it's original intent. I think that means I need to paint them faster. *relistens* Or maybe it didn't.. it's hard to say. Maybe I'm just annoyed it took so long to work out, heh.

Been in BC for about 3 months, and -finally- got my PC brought up for me this week, thanks to some very kind friends who were travelling in this direction anyway. So I was finally able to satisfy my need to paint. So I did. The past stretches out behind, but there's no looking back. Run with me awhile. The world should be in widescreen.

This lonely landscape is probably influenced at least a little by my recent time with Shadow of the Colossus. It is a gorgeous, epic, very elegant game, and everyone could learn a lot from playing it. Plus, it's fun. This pic was itching around in the back of my head for about a week, before I finally sat down and took about 2 hours to do it the other day. PS. Addicted to long vertical formats. Yum.

Straightforward. His work is not overly complex, and neither is he, but he is good at what he does and he knows it. Always kind to the lady-types. He's not a leader, but he is the best right hand man anybody could ask for. Built like a tank. Reliable, steady, and shares Mango's sense of family honor. No job too dirty and never says no to a fight. Final character design.

Mango by Shade

When Mango's father died, he left his family with no one to protect/provide for them. Her brother is determined that their father wanted them all to lead a better, more honest life than the one he had, but the honest life doesn't pay the bills. Though her family does not approve of her path, and her rivals mock her size, she has a fierce personality and is an acrobatic, resourceful fighter. She is able to make weapons out of found objects, and is also able to use the environment and her much larger partner to gain the upper hand against foes. She possesses a sense of honor, respectability, and a deep care for her chosen craft. Keeps to the "old school" of doing things. Certain procedures and etiquette must be followed, whether its leg breaking or extortion, and Mango is discovering the simple pleasure in doing a job well, whatever it may be. Final character design. Mango's favorite weapon is the brickbat.
